Course Purpose/Overview/Goals: To have students acquire the mathematical skills needed for success in their next math course.
Instructor's Educational Philosophy: I as an instructor will do all I can to assist in the learning process, but the ultimate responsibility lies with each individual student to do what is needed to acquire knowledge, advance and achieve one's goals. To benefit most from the concepts and techniques presented, the student should practice until all assignments are completed and full understanding of the material is grasped.
Tutoring: You will find assistance at the MATH TUTORING LAB (room SAM 100,
offers "drop in" help, open daily). Also check out COLLEGE WIDE TUTORING (room BE 2103 2nd floor above Latte stand, by appointment).
Special Needs: Students with documented disabilities who need course accommodations, have emergency medical information, or require special arrangements for building evacuation should contact the instructor within the first two weeks of class.
